Rifle 1
This course covers the fundamentals of combat rifle marksmanship in detail through execution of its supporting mechanics. You will be challenged to apply each fundamental numerous times throughout the progression of the day through various drills. The course is information & content heavy with a fast paced teaching environment. The drills are designed to build on each other with a culmination series of scored drills at the end.
This course is intended for those who have limited to no experience with carbines. The focus is mainly for those who want to build their familiarization and develop new skills. It is also a good refresher for those looking at a new approach to fundamental training. We cover firearm safety, firearm selection & setup, zeroing (rifle set-up and inspection, grouping with individual feedback, sight correction, distance confirmation, data collection), loading and unloading, shot placement, marksmanship fundamentals, a malfunctions overview, maintenance of your weapon, and shooting from different distances and positions.
This course will be a full 8-hour day with breaks in between and an allotted lunch break.
NOTE: Limited size class for maximum individual attention
Course Prerequisites:
Be legally allowed to carry a firearm in the state of North Carolina

350 rounds minimum
Shooting Bag or Rest (Don't make zeroing harder than it needs to be)
Suitable Outdoor Clothing
Inclement Weather Gear (NO WEATHER CANCELLATIONS, bad weather is an excellent opportunity to collect data and test your gear for less-than-ideal conditions)
