Pistol 3- No Light / Low Light
Being able to employ your firearms and light accessories under the cover of darkness is as important as being able to employ your firearm during the day. In this course, we cover the different light accessories that weapons are capable of using while optimizing their use. You will learn how to use your weapons lights, hand held lights, and ambient light (dirty light) sources such as those from surrounding shooters, street lights, structure lights and moonlight. Employment of these lights along with their advantages and disadvantages will be the theme of the training.
This course is designed for intermediate shooters that demonstrate safe and adequate gun handling skills.
NOTE: Limited size class for maximum individual attention. This will be a 5-hour night course.
Course Prerequisites:
Be legally allowed to carry a firearm in the state of North Carolina
Successful Completion of Pistol 1, or Rifle 1
Training Topics:
Situational Awareness Exercises
Anatomical Shot Placement
Marksmanship Self-Diagnostics
Single-Handed Pistol Operation
Barricade Utilization
Target Discrimination
Negotiating Obstacles While Moving
Firing Around Vehicles (If Permitted)
Movement -/+ Cover
Required minimum equipment:
Eye protection (ANSI Z87.1)/ Ear protection (Digital Recommended)
Rifle w/ light mounted
Pistol w/ Holster (Tactical Holster -Kydex Drop Leg, IWB, or OWB Belt Holster /light compatible)
Light Source Handheld or Mounted (Both preferred)
Spare Batteries for Optics & Lights
Magazines w/ Pouches Preferred
400 rounds minimum (200 for both systems is you're running both pistol and rifle)
Inclement Weather Gear
