Defensive Tech- Child Safety

$300.00
sold out

Growing up, our generation was the only one who could fix the blinking clock on the VCR and knew more about the limited technology of our time than our parents. Today, immersed in a bigger digital ocean, our children are no different with the exception that the threats and risks are much much greater.

Talking to strangers is a click away, being exposed to unwanted or harmful content and people on the internet is all too easy, and identity theft can stunt the growth of a child's future in the blink of an eye without their knowledge, understanding or control.

This class aims to trade panic for patience by educating on the fundamentals of connected digital defense for both parents, educators, and children, increasing awareness of the types of threats and their impacts.

NOTE: This course will be a full 8-hour day with breaks in between and an allotted lunch break.

Course Prerequisites:

  • None Required

Training Topics:

  • Types of technology in our day to day lives, including home, school, and on the go

  • How to use some of the limited technical tools and resources at our disposal to protect families and communities

  • A privacy, safety and security professional parents' look at the threat landscape and where it overlaps with our families

  • Mobile, desktop and other connected device safety
